We are an eyecare business. A website that some people cannot read would be a poor advertisement for us, so we treat accessibility as part of the build rather than an add-on.
What we aim for
We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. That covers colour contrast, text that resizes without breaking the layout, meaningful alternative text on images, and pages that work with a keyboard alone.
What we have done
Every page has a skip link to the main content and a single clear heading order. Images carry descriptive alternative text. Form fields have real labels, not placeholder text standing in for them. Interactive elements show a visible focus outline. Video is never set to play by itself. The site works without JavaScript for reading and navigation.
Where we know we fall short
Documents we link to, such as the stock frame catalogue, are PDFs produced outside this site and may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need the information in one of them in another format, ask us and we will send it to you directly.
